Cutting rolls
Converta is specialized in the cutting of large rolls material to various new widths and lengths. The healthy rolls have the highest quality iron. The specifications have been controlled by the cutting process controlled by the coating, pressure level, width, flatness and degree of perfection of the edges. Converta is a ‘BRC Packaging AA’ certified required. The rolls have been sent in hygienic production and are also sent for food and medical packaging.

The cutting process
The cutting process works as follows: the material is normally given 24 to 48 hours to reach room temperature before being cut. Modern industrial cutting machines unwind the master roll and cut the material into narrow or wide strips. The cut material is then rolled onto the core of your choice with the desired roll length, grain direction, and winding tension. During this process, we monitor the flatness of the material as well as its behavior during the cutting process. We are happy to work with you to find the right solution. The packaging of the rolls is carried out entirely in consultation with you, including options for traceability within our company.
Cutting techniques for rolls of foil and paper
We use shear blades (circular blades) to cut the rolls. This ensures the best cutting quality with cut edges free from fraying. Converta works with spacers that allow us to accurately adjust the size in increments of 0.1 millimeter. If necessary, we can also cut with razor blades. This can be an advantage for wafer-thin material of 12 microns.
Cutting roller cores
The cores on which the material is rolled have a high crush value, making them virtually impossible to collapse. We cut the cores to the correct width ourselves; they are available in cardboard and plastic, and in various diameters.
